Darren scared of ride

Am I a mean mom for videoing when he was scared? :) It was funny.

Cute Charlie

This is a cute video of Charlie laughing.

I forgot

Being Rick's wife does have a couple of advantages :) One client needed him to pick up their computer tonight after business hours. They gave me these flowers from their store for making Rick do that on a Monday night. Aren't they beautiful? Too bad my table looks like this from the case lot sales:
We saved up and got a ton of stuff. This is about 1/4 to 1/3 of it. I LOVE case lot sales. This is just what Rick hasn't carried down yet. We both have bad backs, so it just waits there patiently until we (Rick) feel(s) up to it again.

What a week

I'm really not complaining too much about my week. I just felt crappy (see previous post) so it felt worse than it was. I'm actually feeling much better since I've talked to a few people about how I'm feeling. Much better. I was feeling very alone and unloved. I am starting some medicine tomorrow though so I hope that'll help even more. I wanted to put up these cute pictures. Sorry girls, these are about the boys.

Today was one of those days that I'm glad my baby will forget and I probably won't. Charlie has had a fever for 2 days and just whining even with Tylenol. Poor thing. It just breaks my heart! So I took him to the doctor today and she wanted to test his urine and blood :( The urine wasn't so hard, she put a bag on inside his diaper. Not too bad, but the blood draw was HORRIBLE. We went to the outpatient lab at the hospital. I'm not saying anything bad against the ladies that tried because I could honestly not even see any veins. Let me just say that 3 hours and 4 pokes (well, 5 because they gave him a shot back at the dr office) we had both cried a lot. He still has a fever, but seems to be a little happier tonight.
This is my pantry cupboard. This is Darren rearranging my pantry cupboard. I love it actually because he takes the cans out and puts them back. Today it was for about 1/2 hour while I was cooking dinner. It drives Rick crazy because he put them all in the "right spot" a couple days ago. I say who cares as long as he's not doing something worse!

I meant to rotate this. Can you see his backpack? He LOVES it. I got it at Kid-to-Kid for $2. Its got Lightening McQueen and Darren loves to wear it when he can.

This may not look like the most loving big brother, but he was actually being really sweet. He wanted Charlie to lay on him, but Charlie was trying to sit up. Darren was in heaven holding Charlie. Charlie was probably not so much in heaven.

Carlyn has held Charlie many times this last week and several times he's fallen asleep on her. She feels so big and important when he does, like the "little mother" she says.

He's fallen asleep in the cutest places lately. Don't worry, I was sitting right by him when he did this. I didn't leave him there. :)

Confession

I thought I was doing well after having the baby. I had several weeks of pain but not unreasonable pain and the recovery was quicker. I got the house in order and was on top of things. Then school started. I thought it would be easier somehow, but actually it is harder. I've been so tired because Darren isn't sleeping well. I can tell my hormones aren't right either, I think my thyroid is off again.
My point?
I've been having a hard time with things lately and have been bawling over everything! I finally decided that its more than a hard time. It is depression. I'm not enjoying the cute, silly, and funny moments with my kids as much. So now its time to go to the doctor and do something about it. Maybe this is too personal to blog about, but I could just use a little support, I guess.

more pictures

My favorite. The girls were playing that Annie was having the baby and Carlyn was driving her to the hospital :)
We celebrated the anniversary of Grandpa Bruce's death by visiting the grave. The kids and I sure wish we'd known him.
This is Carlyn with her namesake's gravestone.

This was at the park just before my niece, Aili's baptism.
Darren is always wearing shoes. He leaves them all around the house.
Claire was shy, but we loved our visit with the California cousins when they met Charlie.

Carlyn's Preschool graduation

I didn't ever put these pictures up and I wanted to because Carlyn asked me to.

Older pictures

Some of these are quite old, but I still love them and wanted to put them up, for out of town family mainly. Some are from Easter and some other things we did in the spring.

Catching up a little, 3 months old

We sure love our happy baby Charlie. He just turned 3 months old!

This is what happens when you have older sisters. They think you're their little doll.

I love that smile. I could just look at it all day. He laughs now too. So cute!
This cute picture was when we had our neighbor Jax at our house for a couple hours. He loves Thomas too and brought Darren's pillow and blanket out on our floor. Darren didn't want to share, but we talked him into it. They were so cute playing.

I've been trying to be better about things and I've been making my bed. I got on Rick's case one day when he said he'd make it after sleeping later than me and Carlyn said she wanted to make it for me. She did pretty good, but I had to help a little.

Our kids were recently at a doctor's appointment (for a study) where they had to have their blood drawn and then have a shot. The whole appointment took about 3 hours! We decided to take them to Chuck E Cheese's to compensate for the crappy day. It was hard on me too. BTW, if you sign up for the Chuck E Cheese club they give you coupons and it really wasn't much money for us to go. Their favorite is still the carousel.

Darren is absolutely terrified of this truck. It goes up and down. I'll put a video on if I get the time. I might be a mean mom because I thought it was hilarious!

Another ride

Annie looked so big doing this game.

I'd have to say this is Rick's favorite way to work. :)

Mini Cheer at Hunter High

Murray friends don't be insulted, we have a family tie to Hunter High. Chelsea is my sister-in-law Belinda's almost sister-in-law. :) She's a cheerleader at Hunter High and they were doing a mini cheerleader clinic and Belinda really wanted the kids to go so she set it up. It was adorable. I'll get a video on if I can get Rick to download it. They did a dance and then a cheer. Too cute.

Carlyn and Anneliese with Chelsea.

This sweet cheerleader, whose name I never heard, was buddies with Annie. Annie's never been in dancing or any classes and was really shy. This cheerleader helped Annie so much and she did the dance really well. Thank you so much, whoever you are!

Can you see Annie in the middle on the right? She didn't want to go too far from her favorite cheerleader friend.

Carlyn is in the middle with the long pants. She was a doll and I think she'll be a great cheerleader if she wants to be.
The kids with Josh and Belinda. They are getting married in October and we love them both! They were exhausted by then, especially Annie who was a little sick.

Carlyn's First Day of Kindergarten

Carlyn is loving school, but she is having some issues since starting. She's exerting her independence and being really sassy, but I think its from being really tired. Its a lot to get used to.

Carlyn's kindergarten breakfast. This was her request and I was happy to make it. I messed up on dinner though because she wanted lasagna and I didn't have sauce and she told me I messed up her kindergarten day and that I didn't care at all. I reminded her of the breakfast and she later took it back, but it was a really big deal. I'll learn from that mistake.

Just before Daddy took her to school on the motorcycle. He wanted to take her, but I feel like I missed out. I didn't cry this way, but I might have if I'd taken her.
Carlyn, Daixa, and Emma. Three of the several neighborhood kids that are in the same class. Look at those pretty girls!

Camping

We went camping about a month ago and these are some of the pictures. We went camping by Heber City and borrowed my parent's tent trailer. I wouldn't have gone and taken Charlie otherwise. We were really lucky that the kids slept really well, but the weather was terrible for the first day and night and half a day, so we stayed an extra day. I always pack way too much so it wasn't a problem. My brother Mathew went with us and we had a great time.
The girls eating at the table.
Charlie weathered it quite well.

Darren and Daddy being goofy.

That is hail on the ground! Our camp chairs were out and Rick and Mathew sprinted to get them under cover of the trailer and got soaking wet. I remembered later that I had ponchos. Oops.

This is my favorite. I just love Carlyn and the expression on her face.

It rained from dinnertime Friday until about noon Saturday with a few breaks in between. Since we didn't get to have our smore's the night before we snuck out during one of the breaks and had dessert for breakfast. It was great.

While Rick, Mathew, and I played a game we gave the kids cards and they "played" a game of their own. It was really cute and they did pretty well being cooped up.

Charlie Blessing

I wanted to put some pictures up from the last few months. I'll just have to do it when I can. These were from Charlie's blessing about a month ago. Our family
Mom and the kids

I love the expression on his face.

One of the best pictures I have of him smiling also happens to be in his blessing outfit :) He was about busting out of it.

His great grandma Hilton. Look how happy he looks. He knows his grandmas (and grandpa) love him. Grandma always says she doesn't look good in pictures, but I have to disagree.
